UBC Faculty of Medicine community members are co-leading five projects that received a funding boost in the winter round of UBC’s Partnership Recognition and Exploration (PRE) Fund.
The Partnership Recognition and Exploration Fund awards up to $1,500 to bridge small resource gaps, enabling community partners to forge reciprocal relationships with the university. Since 2017, the fund has invested more than $547,000 in 361 community-university partnerships, with approximately 50 per cent of the funding supporting IBPOC-led community organizations.
PRE funding goes directly to community partners, with the work being done collaboratively between UBC and community partners.
