A number of UBC Faculty of Medicine members have been honoured with Killam teaching awards for 2023/2024. The annual awards are granted by the Killam Endowment Fund to faculty and teaching assistants who demonstrate excellence in teaching.

Killam Teaching Prize
The Killam Teaching Prize is awarded annually to faculty who are nominated by students, colleagues and alumni in recognition of excellence in teaching. This year’s Faculty of Medicine recipients are:
- Allison Campbell, Midwifery Program, Department of Family Practice
- Cameron Hague, Department of Radiology
- Paris-Ann Ingledew, Department of Surgery
- Cornelia Laule, Department of Radiology, and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award
The Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award is presented each year to graduate students who have made outstanding contributions to teaching and learning at UBC. This year’s Faculty of Medicine recipients are:
- Hallie Dau, School of Population and Public Health
- Busra Turgu, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine (graduate teaching assistant in the Faculty of Science)
