The Teaching Tracking and Payment System (TTPS) is a province-wide system, which the Faculty of Medicine uses to document the teaching contributions of clinical faculty that teach in the MD Undergraduate Program (MDUP) and Postgraduate Medical Program (PGME). The TTPS streamlines administrative processes for managing clinical faculty information and payments.
The TTPS provides quarterly teaching statements for clinical faculty which include:
- Detailed teaching activities and payment amounts (when eligible);
- Allows clinical faculty to review teaching activities and identify any inaccuracies; and
- Provides a record of teaching contributions that can be used for reappointment, promotion and other recognition opportunities.

Reviewing Your Statement
For each fiscal quarter (Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept, Oct-Dec & Jan-Mar) you will receive an email notification that your draft teaching statement for the previous quarter is ready to review. You can review the draft statement and report any discrepancies within five business days. Any compensation indicated in the statement will be paid automatically.
Please also review your payee information for accuracy including your mailing address and GST status. If any of this information is incorrect, please contact your FOM department.
Failure to review your payee information may result in:
- Undelivered cheques and tax forms
- Payment delays
- Inaccurate tax reporting
If you haven’t already, please consider signing up for the Direct Deposit Option.
Fill out your personal and banking information (not the supplier information) on the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Request Form and provide it to the contact shown for your department or program. The department or program will complete the supplier information and process the request.
How to access your statement
- Ensure you have a UBC Campus-Wide Login (CWL) account
- Click on login button below and sign in using your CWL credentials
- View your statement on the home screen or click “draft” to view a PDF version (sample PDF statement)

Reporting discrepancies on your statement
- If you have a question about your teaching statement or believe the information presented is inaccurate, you can click on the teaching activity and select submit an inquiry.
- If a teaching activity delivered for the MDUP or PGME is missing from your teaching statement, please contact your department or regional program to notify them.
As per the Clinical Faculty Compensation Terms for Teaching in the UBC MD Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs you can query any teaching activity by reporting it to the Faculty of Medicine within one year of the delivery of the compensable teaching activity.
