Dr. Lindsay Machan
Lindsay Machan, Associate Professor, Department of Radiology receives the 2015 Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Leader in Innovation Award. The Leaders in Innovation Award recognizes and promotes innovation within interventional radiology, continuing IR’s historical innovative development that has revolutionized medicine over the last 40 years. The Award acknowledges those individuals who have conceptualized and implemented an idea that has had an advantageous impact on the practice of interventional radiology.
Dr. Machan continues his practice in the area of interventional radiology at UBC. Dr. Machan also serves as an Interventional Radiologist at Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Center. He has played a significant role in Canada’s medical technology industry over the last 15 years.
The award was given out today at the SIR 40th Annual Scientific Meeting.
