Hometown: Hazelton, BC
Program: Internal Medicine Residency Program, Vancouver
What attracted you to your field?
I wanted to work in a profession where I could be challenged daily while helping others and contributing to the health of my community.
What is your favourite moment from your time at UBC?
My favourite moments from my time at UBC were times spent with my colleagues and co-residents as we worked together to learn, supported each other through difficult cases and celebrated each other’s accomplishments.
What is one piece of advice you have for students entering your program?
We have the privilege of being with patients and their families through some of the most difficult times in their lives and that big responsibility can sometimes weigh on you. Make sure that you find what keeps you happy and healthy and prioritize that.
What’s next for you?
I am moving to Campbell River, B.C. where I will be practicing as a general internist. I look forward to becoming part of a new community and exploring the outdoors with my husband and our dogs.
