Hometown: Toronto, ON
Program: Online Master of Rehabilitation Sciences

What attracted you to your field?
Many things attracted me to the field of rehabilitation, but I think it was my desire to help support individuals in reaching their optimal level of functioning after suffering from an illness or injury. The medical field was always an interest of mine, but working in the field of rehabilitation sciences allows me to work with several health professionals. I love working with all members of a rehabilitation team and being able to work together towards a common goal.
In 10 years, what UBC moment will you still be talking about?
I am planning on heading to Vancouver for my convocation ceremony, so I know that I will always talk about that moment when I walked across the stage to obtain my diploma. Since starting my master’s, I have been longing for the day when I get to hold my diploma in my hands and I know it will be an everlasting memory for me.
What’s next for you?
My plan is to continue working in Toronto, Ontario where I currently live. I am hoping to take on special projects in the company and to help make advances in best practices for individuals injured in the workplace.
As you look ahead, what (or who) inspires you?
I find that I crave a challenging experience in my life because I am motivated by the sense of accomplishment once I have obtained my goal. Therefore, I would say challenging experiences and always looking for new opportunities to help others is what inspires me.
Name one thing on your bucket list.
To travel across the world and see as many places as I possibly can.
