The Office of Student Affairs was established to provide confidential help, support and advocacy for UBC medical students. There are offices at all of the sites with support staff, assistant deans and OSA coordinators to help you out with a wide range of issues. At the VFMP campus the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and a financial advisor work to support all the sites.
We can help you with personal and academic issues, financial concerns and can assist in pointing the way for physical and mental health problems. We are also here to provide support for all kinds of student initiatives: health and wellness ideas, charitable projects, class plays and runs and all kinds of other events.
We are here for you! Student Affairs is a good place to start looking for help with just about anything in medical school (but, no, we cannot get you to PBL for 8 am).
