The Faculty of Medicine recognizes the contributions of clinical faculty through the following annual awards:
Clinical Faculty Award for Career Excellence in Clinical Teaching
The Clinical Faculty Award for Career Excellence in Clinical Teaching is intended to recognize senior Clinical Faculty members who have demonstrated sustained excellence in teaching over the course of their career. The award consists of a certificate, an honorarium of $2500, and public recognition at the Faculty of Medicine Awards reception. Efforts will also be made to publicize the achievement of the recipient. The name of the winner will be published on the Faculty of Medicine website and on the Office of Clinical Faculty Affairs website.
Clinical Faculty Award for Excellence in Community Practice Teaching
To recognize excellence in teaching by Clinical Faculty members in the setting of community practices, rural areas or expansion sites. This award is intended to recognize a Clinical Faculty member who has made a sustained educational impact in a local community and who demonstrates excellence in teaching.
The award consists of a certificate, an honorarium of $2000, and public recognition at the Faculty of Medicine Awards reception. Efforts will also be made to publicize the achievement of the recipients. The name of the winner will be published on the Faculty of Medicine website and on the Office of Clinical Faculty Affairs website.
This award recognizes a Clinical Faculty member who has sustained educational impact in a local community and demonstrates excellence in teaching, across the spectrum of education. The award consists of a financial prize of $2000.
