The Faculty of Medicine hosts Masters and Doctoral graduate programs in a wide range of health-related fields, with over 1,200 students currently enrolled.
Our research-based programs provide opportunities for training in subjects ranging from the diversity of basic biomedical sciences to clinical and health services research, and at all geographic sites, including our affiliated hospitals and institutes. Graduate programs are also offered for the professions of audiology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, genetic counselling and health administration.
Graduate programs at UBC are administered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, and the Faculty of Medicine Graduate and Postdoctoral Education office works closely with them and with the programs to maintain and improve the high quality of graduate training.
The Faculty of Medicine is also home to over 260 postdoctoral fellows, and this office works to provide further levels of support and professional development opportunities for these researchers.
